A visit to NYC

Hi.

Not a posting by Kathrin - but rather by Mari (her next door neighbour)

I happened to be driving down to the Big Apple for a couple of days of New York Christmas Spirit. The timing was perfect - I made the trip with Sophie, Sasha and Bella! We had a great (although looong) drive down on Wednesday. The kids were amazing patiently sitting through the 12 hour roadtrip. All worth it when the family was reunited! They'll be spending Christmas together in New York.

I just wanted to update those of you looking to help with the accommodation search that the problem has been solved. Kathrin and Sebastian have managed to arrange to stay at Ronald McDonald house for the duration. Thanks for all your thoughts and efforts!

Happy Holidays.
Mari.

  1. Fabulous, Mari! Thank you for keeping all of us up to date about the accommodation arrangements - and for the news of your trip there with Sophie, Sasha and Bella. Wow - what a wonderful trip to make! You are so kind! I am sure that the whole clan is delighted to be together.

We wish you all a terrific Christmas. And we wish Nicolas good health, good cheer and some seriously goofy family hijinks while the others are all there! Sebastian - you take care of yourself, too. Kathrin - lots of love.

  2. We are so happy to hear that you are all together for Christmas, and that you have space at Ronald's! I hope Nic gets to come out of his room, or the rest of you get to go in, for xmas somehow,(or maybe that part has not begun yet). Jeff and I check the blog frequently and continue to send our loving thoughts, grateful that all continues to go well. Love to all of you for xmas. Steph and Jeff

  4. Thank you for the update, Mari. I'm so happy to hear that you have a home where you can all be reunited over Christmas. We're so happy the first step of your surgery went well, Nicolas. There was news of a face transplant a few days after your liver transplant surgery. Just think, your Dad could have donated his face to you... ;)
I hope your round of chemo went well - let's hope it's the last one!!
If someone could send me (or post) a mailing address, that would be great - we sent Nicolas some mail to the hospital address before his big surgery, but it got sent back.
Lots of love and merry Christmas from all the Caruanas - no relation to the nice doctor ;)
